The Isidro Fabela Institute of International Studies at Universidad del Mar presents the Issue Number 1 of the Mexican Yearbook of Global Affairs 2022 (MYGA-2022).

 

 

In the seven sections that make up the MYGA-2022, readers will find crucial and diverse topics such as: the importance of strategic thinking centers in International Relations, the Pacific Alliance, world order, cosmopolitanism, democracy in Africa, European geopolitics, Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Coronavirus pandemic, the Middle East, the foreign policy of Mexico and Argentina, new forms of diplomacy, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), Mexico-US environmental relations, Mexico-Colombia relations, US-China relations, globalization and inequality, an interpretation of Libya as a failed state, gender and feminism, current trends in the production and consumption of illicit drugs in Mexico, the assassination of Prime Minister Shinzō Abe, the Mexican government's lawsuit against US armories, the Mexico-Pennsylvania relationship, the two main global crises: environmental and economic; the intellectual contribution of authors such as Kant, Martha Finnnemore and Hermila Galindo, or the Kalevi Holsti’s conception of the discipline of IR. Bibliographic comments on works published in Spain, the United States, Mexico, Colombia, France and England. The Editorial Board of the Mexican Yearbook of Global Affairs is made up of academic experts from 17 countries on five continents.
