To train human resources with high quality analytical ability to develop basic and applied research, knowledge-generating frontiers and contribute to the solution of problems associated with conventional and unconventional livestock, so their work impacts on society at the regional, state, national and international levels.

Graduates of the Master’s Program in Production and Animal Health will be able to identify, analyze and solve problems associated with conventional and non-conventional livestock, with a social, scientific and technological responsibility. This academic training will direct and develop basic and applied research in the field of discipline, contributing to the formation of human resources quality and will generate knowledge in public or private sector institutions where incorporated. Prior academic preparation will permit entry into a national or international Post Graduate program with the objective of continuing their education.
