The CECAT offers training courses for professors from the CECyTEO

Stemming from the signing of a co-operation agreement in the month of February of this year, between the System of State Universities of Oaxaca (SUNEO) and the College of Science and Technology Studies of the State of Oaxaca (CECyTEO), personnel from the Tourism Training Centre (CECAT) Oaxaca Campus of the Universidad del Mar, offered to teachers of the CECyTEO system a workshop course entitled: Tourist Information Services and Customer Service in Hospitality Establishments.

The overall objective of the course, concerning the thematic content, is to provide educational tools in the teaching of recreational tourist attractions of Mexico and of Oaxaca, in addition to strengthening the participant’s practical knowledge in the field of hospitality.

The course was delivered over five days, for eight hours each day.

During the mornings, the teachers had the opportunity to get to know and participate in the educational activities relating to the information concerning the natural and cultural heritage of our country, including the eight regions of our State.

The evening hours fell under the auspices of Lic. Irais Betanzos, Executive Housekeeper of the CECAT, who taught the theory and practical components of the following themes: functions of the Housekeeping Department, policies and objectives of the department, the use of chemical products, linen items, guest supplies, amenities, stationary and information packs, loading the room attendant cart, making beds and turn down service.
